Graduation

by LMNt

Today Sasha would graduate from college. Finally, she would be free from stupid teachers and stupid classmates. Finally she could get a real job and move away from her stupid family. Her education completed, she felt like she was on top of the world. "22 years old and already smarter than 99.9 percent of the people on the planet" she thought to herself proudly.

Sasha always did have an attitude problem, her mother recalled. Ever since she was little, her daughter thought she was better than everyone else. She was proud to see her daughter so grown up, but two thoughts plagued her. One was that if Sasha graduated today, there would be no end to her smugness, and that's not how she raised her daughter to turn out. The other thought was that Sasha was her youngest child and now she would be looking to move away from her and leave her all alone (Sasha's father had died a few years back).

Well, as they say - A mother has a way of working things out. Sasha never did end up graduating from college. At first she was very unhappy, but when her mommy let her dress up like a big girl graduate, Sasha perked up markedly.

Sasha looked so sweet that even after her mother took her picture, she didn't have the heart to take the outfit off of her. "Let her have her fun pretending" thought the proud mommy. "After all, it will be a long time before she graduates from diapers, let alone a school of any kind."
