(Transcript of a hastily given press conference, given on 12-22-02, after the news leaked out.)
These three sisters, actually a set of triplets, once were fifteen months old. Not to unusual since everyone passes that age as they grow. But Jessica, Rebecca and Samantha passed fifteen months years early. How is that possible you ask? Well, unknown to anyone, doctor, parents, casual observer, the three sisters had lying dormant inside their genetic code a syndrome called Arvirusosteocyntari or ARVCT for short. It is extremely rare, usually only one case in a billion births, the odds of it occurring in three babies, no matter that they are triplets, is astronomical to say the least!
So, when only hours earlier, on the 20th of December two days
ago now, the three six month old babies began to grow everyone
was shocked. They grew fast, about six months every ten minutes.
They passed fifteen months after fifteen minutes. Two years was
passed after thirty minutes. After which they out grew their diapers.
By one hour they were three and a half. Two hours after the growth
started they were almost seven. Now in this second picture they
are about nine or ten. No one can say for sure. Of course at this
point they were very confused and still acted a lot like infants,
we kept them in diapers and held them a lot. There wasn't much
else we could do. Since despite their more mature bodies and the
efforts of their confused and scared Mommy and Daddy and nurses
they didn't understand such things as using the toilet, or using
a fork to eat with. We will continue to monitor the three, keeping
them here at the Hospital as long as needed. Meanwhile available
personnel are hastily searching for any recorded previous case
of Arvirusosteocyntari, in order to determine whether anything
can be done to slow or stop the girl's growth. As well as to find
out any possible curative methods. If we can restore them to their
proper physical biological age we most certainly will. As of now
nothing much has been found, but we are still optimistic that
we can help them. Meanwhile they seem to have slowed in their
growth, to about one year every two or three hours. The last I
knew they were about 22 years old and still struggling with everything,
though they appear less scared than before and have even begun
to talk to us a little. That's all I have for now. Any questions?
