The Caretaker

"Look, you can't keep me here in this room forever", Margaret said as she stood in front of the surveilence camera. "It's a really neat setup you have where you bring me everything I need, but I would at least like to get out of this room and walk about from time to time. I'm not your damned slave!"

Just then she thought she smelled something. Looking around, Margaret located the offending infant - one newly sent to her room - and brought her before the camera.

"Do you see this mess!?", she exclaimed. "Boy, if you could only smell it, then you'd know why I was complaining! What the hell do you feed these women before they come down here!?"

Suddenly Margaret's sense got the better of her and she stopped her grievance and returned to her duties - caring for the women-turned-babies that are sent to her.

'After all' she thought as she looked down at her filthy charge, 'if they could do this to other women, they could do it to me...'
