Patch

by PixChick

After years of unsuccessfully pleading with her husband Kurt to stop smoking, Nancy gave up trying. So it was a big surprise when she discovered he was actively trying to give up the habit. He even was secretly wearing a nicotine patch. Nancy puzzled why. An answer came from a friend.

Kurt was secretly dating one of the checkout girls at the local hardware emporium where he worked, and he was giving up smoking to please her. That, Nancy thought, also explained why Kurt had taken a recent renewed interest in grooming, and had got some spiffy new clothing. And the friend added one more bit of information. Kurt had seen a lawyer about getting a divorce, in which he'd retain all marital property. That made Nancy angry.

"How dare Kurt even think of walking out on their 10-year marriage," Nancy growled. "You can keep him if you make one little substitution in his daily routine," the friend said. And she gave Nancy the address of where she could obtain a substitute for the nicotine patch he used.

Nancy followed the instructions. Kurt didn't even notice the substitution. And because of the new medicines that were absorbed from the patch into the skin, Kurt not only doesn't smoke any more; he also isn't dating the checkout girl. It seems she doesn't like dating younger men.

By the way, that's Kurt in the photo. He's still wearing the patch, which contains a powerful youthening drug. And his descent into a 2-year-old happened so quickly, Kurt wasn't even aware of his change. He just woke up one morning and begged Nancy to buy him some bath toys and let him stay home from daycare. Nancy agreed, provided he continued to wear the patch every day for a month. By then, the medicines in the patch will have made the change permanent.
