Robert fancied himself something of an artist, although his medium was somewhat unusual and only seasonally in demand. Robert was an expert at carving pumpkins.

But you couldn't make a masterpiece from just any pumpkin. It took a search. So Robert drug his wife, Evelyn, from grocery store to grocery store and pumpkin patch to pumpkin patch in search of the perfect pumpkin.

After hours of searching, Robert found the perfect pumpkin. But alas, it was already in the hands of a haggard old lady who was heading for the check-out booth. Robert was polite at first, explaining his needs, but the old lady would have none of it. He tried bribery, but that didn't work either. So being out of options, Robert just took the pumpkin from the old lady.

While walking away, though, the pumpkin seemed heavier than he thought. After a few steps, he had to set it down. That's when an old lady directed him to an area with little pumpkins.

And there Robbie found the perfect pumpkin and took it to show his mommy.
