Desiree was sad.
Her cat, Brownie, was dying. Brownie had lived a full life of sixteen years, having been raised by Desiree from a kitten.
Sitting on the kitchen floor, stroking the fur of the suffering animal, Desiree wished she could have sixteen more years with Brownie.
And then, poof, her carelessly worded wish was granted.
While she had sixteen more years to play with her cat, she also had to re-learn potty training, counting and her ABC's.
