My name is Taryn McDaniel, but from now on, you can call me "Sweetie." It's appropriate since sweets - especially chocolate - has been my downfall.
It all began a few days ago when my apartment mate Viola got a big box of chocolate bars from her family in Belgium. This was gourmet chocolate, and Viola was paying no interest in them. But just thinking about how great those chocolate bars had to taste wore down my resistance. I began to pilfer them one at a time. But near the end of the second day, Viola caught me taking without asking the next to last bar.
"You weren't eating them, so I didn't want them to go to waste," I said in my defense. "What a childish excuse," Viola said as she opened a second box from her family, checked the contents, and smiled broadly. "I ought to punish you by reducing you to your age of immaturity, but I'll give you a sporting chance to prove your maturity. I'll use this medallion to merely put a curse on you. If you can go without eating any more chocolate for 24 hours, you'll stay as you are. But if you cannot..." Viola added with a sly grin.
I didn't want to test Viola's curse. I ignored the last chocolate bar. But then I saw Viola squirrel something in our freezer. I checked. It was a gourmet chocolate ice cream treat. No! It was a GOURMET chocolate ice cream treat. It had double fudge ice cream inside, a semi-sweet chocolate inner coating, and a milk chocolate outer coating with embedded cocoa chips, ground peanuts and sprinkles. I told myself, NO! NO!
Oh, whom am I kidding? The above photo shows the outcome of
my battle with my inner self to ward off temptation. It appears
I had a much lower maturity level then I thought. I youthened
from a 26-year-old woman so fast, my clothing just flew off my
body. My bra is against the radiator on the far wall. Was this
chocolate treat worth being turned into a toddler? (Lick! Mmmmm!)
Damn right! Now if you don't mind, Viola is cracking open a box
of Pull-Ups disposable training pants and - well, I'm cold!
