Angela was furious with her sisters. Not only had they stiffed her for their share of the rent again, they timed it to be out when the landlord came to collect. He wasn't taking any more lame excuses. Heck, he wasn't even taking good excuses, had Angela been able to think of one. So now they had three days to find a new place to live.
To top it off, Brenda and Stacey wandered into the apartment with items they had purchased at the Community Craft Faire.
"They're magic wishing teddies," Brenda said. "The man at the booth said that if you hug them tightly and wish real hard, all your problems will disappear," Stacey added.
Angela sighed. She knew that sometimes her sisters were so stubborn that she would have to pretend to go along, then look for an opportune moment to turn things her way.
So she took the teddy from Brenda and clutched it tightly to her chest. "I wish we didn't have to worry about paying the rent for another 20 years," she thought.
And suddenly Angela, Brenda and Stacey were little girls in their parent's house. And they wouldn't have to worry about rent payments for another 20 years.
